Posties have it easy nowadays...

Hot on the heels of the groovy 1970's Royal Mail dress-code posters... how about some photos of semi-naked, tattooed, Japanese Postmen from the 1800's..? 

As you know, the Hikyaku communication system of carrying messages on foot was developed during the Edo period - 1603 to 1868.
